Bullets 1st 7.62x51 4:1 Dim Tracer Linked FMJ – 200 Rounds
NOTE: Not available for shipping to California
Bullets 1st 7.62x51 4:1 linked tracer ammunition consists of Lake City brass, Boxer primers, M276 142-grain dim tracer, and M62 142-grain tracer FMJ projectiles. This line of ammunition is 100% American-made and designed for range training and tactical exercises.
All of our 7.62x51 ammunition is tested for function using an AR-10-style rifle with an 18" barrel. Like the military, we expect our loaded rounds to have consistent firing and grouping!
Some, if not all, projectiles will lack the painted tip (violet). This is because we receive our projectiles directly from the military as is, whether they are painted or not. This will NOT affect the accuracy or function of the rounds.
Developed for the military, the M62 tracer typically ignites at 80 yards and stays lit for approximately 800 yards. The M276 dim tracer has the same ignition and burn specs but can only be seen with night-vision devices. Due to the high temperature produced by the tracer material, the risk of fire is increased. Be aware of your target and beyond to maintain a safe shooting environment.
Military Requirements: Because the components come from Lake City Ammunition Plant, the cases must be annealed to meet military specs. This does not mean the cases have been previously used. Unlike civilian rounds, the military requires visual proof of the annealing process. Annealing causes discoloration to the cases with the benefit of added durability.
These rounds suit M-60, MK48, and other rifles that can feed links. For every four rounds of M276, there will be one round of M62. This ammunition comes packed in a military surplus ammo can.
