Description: Lake City 7.62x51 M62 Tracer line of ammunition consists of Lake City brass, boxer-primers and projectiles. These rounds are packaged in a Military Surplus ammo can. Some, if not all, projectiles will be lacking the painted tip (Orange). This is due to the fact that we receive these rounds directly from the Military as is, whether they are painted or not. This will NOT affect accuracy or function of the rounds. Designed for Range Training. This line of ammunition is 100% Lake City made.
Military Requirement: due to these rounds being from Lake City Ammunition Plant, the cases are required to be annealed. If the cases are not annealed, they do not meet military specs. This does not mean the cases have been previously used. Unlike civilian rounds, the military requires visual proof of the annealing process. This process causes discoloration to the cases, which also provides added durability.
Suitable for rifles chambered in both 7.62 NATO & .308 Winchester. Quality ammo for medium to long range shooting, however, Military Spec ammo is not commonly used for Hunting. Our 7.62 M62 is loaded to Military Specifications to meet NATO expectations.
