Stryker - 5.56x45 NATO M855 62 Gr. FMJ Steel Core – 1,000 Rounds

Description: Stryker 5.56 line of ammunition consists of Lake City brass, boxer-primers and projectiles. Designed for range training. This line of ammunition is 100% American made. Traditionally this round would be painted with a green tip but we often receive the projectile prior to paint.

Military Requirement: due to the components being from Lake City Ammunition Plant, the cases are required to be annealed. If the cases are not annealed, they do not meet military specs. This does not mean the cases have been previously used. Unlike civilian rounds, the military requires visual proof of the annealing process. This process causes discoloration to the cases, which also provides added durability.

While 5.56x45mm NATO rounds will fit in 223 Remington chambers, we do not recommend this round to be fired in the 223 Remington Chamber. Military rounds run at higher pressures than civilian .223 rounds. Our 5.56 M855 is loaded to Military Specifications to meet NATO expectations. Just like the Military, our expectations for our loaded rounds is to have consistent firing & grouping!

This is the first time I bought from American Marksman, but it won’t be the last. I did count every round like the other review, there were 981 (26.5 cents) per round still . I went to the range today expecting the worst and hoping for the best, as i was also zeroing a new scope. One round down range, made the clicks on my scope, and the next three shots were withing a half inch of each other. Its the best day I have had at the range in a long time (did way more shooting then I planned on), without a single Failure to Feed, Fire, Or Extract. At the end of the day I decided to see if I could shoot that half inch group again and all three impacts were touching. Granted all of this was at 50yards and if it opens up a lil @100 or 300 i dont see any issues. Just as a comparison to make sure it was not a fluke i pulled out the previous ammo i was shooting ( that you can buy at a big box store for .30 per round) and the group opened up to 3 and 4 inches. The ammo was loose bag bulk packed in a box with paper to keep it from moving and that box was packed in another box packed with paper. received the package in a matter of days. I will buy from them again ... and would have given them 5 stars had it not been for the shortage on the round count.

Top performance, Affordable price
This is not the first time I bought from American Marksman, and it won’t be the last time, either. I always left a message saying, “please don’t short count the rounds”, because the first time I bought from her I got a few rounds short. As a return, the American Marksman always gave me more than a dozen of rounds over, even some rounds might be damaged during the shipping. I’ve bought over 5K rounds of 223/556 and 2k rounds of 308/762 here since last year, in the 3k rounds I’ve already spent, not a single failure, none! The shipping from NE to OH took about 3 days, which means I always got my order within a week, and this time experience was extremely satisfied. The American Marksman did a terrific job on protecting the packages. Stock enough ammo when you can, and stock more when the good deals popped out. That’s my philosophy, and I will definitely come back to support their business. I am glad I can find this place.

nice product
Got my order fast. Only had a couple rounds not loaded properly, but there were about 10 extra rounds in the order that made up for that. Only suggestion is to inspect every round. All in all very happy with my purchase will be ordering from them again.

Not Bad
Let me say, not bad. Got a 500 round case, and my 1st impression wasn't the greatest. 1st hand full of rounds I grabbed, found a split neck casing. So, now I have to go through every last one. Out of 250, only found 3 that I wouldn't shoot because of fractured or cracked casings in the neck area. With that said, the ammo shoots well, and groups well.. Some of the rounds were dinged up , but I contributed that to shipping and handling, and not craftsmanship. Bottom Line, for the money, it's hard to go wrong
